As you enter the PMDP headquarters building, take a deep breath
The depot reconstruction project even won first place in the prestigious Global Light Rail Awards in the category of Best Construction over EUR 50 million.
Just a few days ago, we completed the installation of a green wall in the building's entrance atrium, with external cladding forming a framing effect. The same material is used for the PMDP logo in the middle of the green wall.
Few people would believe that it is possible to fit almost 600 hydroponic plants in a 17 m2 area.
By creating a WOW effect, we are shouting, "We are going green!"
The entire wall works on the basis of automatic irrigation connected to the water supply and drainage. In addition to the natural daylight, luminaire lights recessed in the ceiling ensure a sufficient amount of light.
Green walls in the interior significantly reduce sound levels, help to clean and humidify the air, and harmonize the environment.
A green wall welcoming visitors to the PMDP in this way requires only a minimum of care. Only once per month is required for the maintenance. It will be necessary to maintain their shape by trimming them so that they do not become overgrown and lose their pattern that has been created using different species and colours of plants.
