Green walls provide the opportunity to combine technology, design and nature into one harmonious whole

Michael's journey at Jungle Interiors began almost immediately after completing his engineering studies at Metropolitan University, and then he decided to go his own way and focus his professional life on greenery in commercial spaces. He started as an ordinary member of our implementation team and after some time he was promoted to this new position. He cooperates with architects and suppliers of the necessary components, provides technical support to our sales team, solves all technological processes, and manages the entire implementation team involved in the construction of the green walls.

And what did he tell us about himself?

"I'm 26 years old and I joined Jungle Interiors two months after graduating from university. The field I studied was international business and regional studies. Since I was a teenager, I have enjoyed politics and understanding the context of why things are happening. That's why I chose this field. However, over time, I understood how complicated everything is on a global scale and an individual cannot do anything without a strong group behind him. "

"I started in the company as a part-time worker. I fell straight into the hype of preparing Christmas decorations and trees which takes place here every year during Advent. With the onset of the new year, I began to get involved in the implementation and maintenance of existing green installations at our companies."

"Time went by and I found out that green walls really fascinated me the most and I wanted to focus fully on them. I also took over the activities from the project manager, and thus my position as a green wall technician was created. Through many trainings and, above all, practice in the actual construction, I found myself in this position."

"As they say in life, it fulfills a person to leave a result behind. As far as green walls are concerned, it is a project that takes up to half a year from establishing contact with the client to actual implementation. I am also technical support to the sales department in terms of technical feasibility. The most beautiful thing about this work is to see how in a few hours of installation a green wall grows in an empty space which is a treat for every eye. By this, I mean how quickly you can see the result of my work."

"And what is the biggest challenge for me? A very clear answer. All the technical imperfections that often accompany a project. For example, we often work in a construction environment. So we are at the stage where we come to the point where we expect the water supply at point “X” and the completed connection at site “Y”. Sometimes, it happens that what is planned by the architect on paper is not translated into reality. Rather than panicking and drawing premature conclusions, it is necessary to keep a cool head and come up with alternative solutions with your experienced colleagues so that the implementation can be completed in time and the resulting wall reaches the highest possible quality."

Green walls in interiors can be not only functional, but also beautiful and, most importantly, sustainable in the long term

Despite the successes and accolades he has received, Michael remains humble and focused on further innovation. The road to a more sustainable world is endless. But working on green walls teaches us that even small steps can have a big impact.
